[pulseaudio-discuss] no sound on USB-C dock audio jack

Hi there,

I have the following setup:

Laptop ==> Thinkpad USB-C Dock Gen2 3.5mm jack ==> active speakers

Now, after a firmware update on the USBC dock the firmware was updated
to using USB audio interface2 before the fw update the dock used UAC1.

Now, with UAC2 there is no sound on the dock´s 3.5mm audio jack anymore.

The strange thing, pavucontrol does show the dock output device, it is
not muted and when playing sound the volume meter actually does show
something, but the speakers remain silent....

Is there anything I could do on the pulseaudio level? From the view of
pulseaudio the dock audio jack seems to work, but the speakers are
silent. The speakers are ok.
