I tried to look what has recently changed in the code that configures
the hw params, and the only thing I found that somehow maybe could have
caused the change in behaviour was this:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://cgit.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/commit/?id=810aa36189f82f77403826defa76a4f9f1f01454">https://cgit.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/commit/?id=810aa36189f82f77403826defa76a4f9f1f01454</a>
If you add "tsched=false" to the line in /etc/pulse/default.pa that
loads module-udev-detect, does that help?
What version did you use before upgrading to 8.0?
