<div dir="ltr">I've created an issue on the <a href="http://freedeskop.org">freedeskop.org</a> Gitlab to see about getting a repo created: <a href="https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/freedesktop/freedesktop/-/issues/475">https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/freedesktop/freedesktop/-/issues/475</a><div><br></div><div>All are welcome to join!</div><div><br></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Sat, Nov 19, 2022 at 6:32 PM Troy Curtis Jr <<a href="mailto:troy@troycurtisjr.com">troy@troycurtisjr.com</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr">Howdy all!<div><br></div><div>Each of you appear to have some relationship to rarian, whether mentioned in the source code or involved with packaging it for various distributions. I gather that rarian is dormant, potentially abandoned, but I was curious if there is still some place where development might still happen? If there isn't currently such a place, I assumed this crew might be the set of people most interested, even if only a little, in seeing a place for maintenance created.<div><br></div><div>So my questions are:</div><div>1. Does anyone know of any place where maintenance might happen?</div><div>2. If not, is there any interest in setting up such a place?</div><div><br></div><div>I see that Debian [1] and OpenSuse [2] have already dropped the package, but it is still around in a few other distributions, such as Slackware, Gentoo, and Fedora. I investigated a few segfaults experienced by Fedora users [3] and it looks like the fix is pretty easy. There just needs to be an upstream to incorporate it! I can, of course, patch it in the Fedora package, but ideally it should be available for wider distribution.</div><div><br></div><div>If no one knows of any location to take in these patches, then I will try to engage with the Freedesktop team to see if a repo on their Gitlab instance can be created for use. Anyone that is interested in participating there is certainly welcome.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks,</div><div>Troy</div><div><br></div><div>1: <a href="https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/rarian" target="_blank">https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/rarian</a></div><div>2: <a href="https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1141381" target="_blank">https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1141381</a></div><div>3: <a href="https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2123124" target="_blank">https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2123124</a></div></div></div>
