Release Wranglers,

The minutes from today's call:

Attendees
---------
Kevin Martin
Jim Gettys
Paul Anderson
Keith Packard
Stuart Kreitman
Alan Coopersmith
Andy Ritger
Bryce Harrington
Leon Shiman

Release Status
--------------
Kevin updated the release-related web pages over the weekend and
revisited the pages that asked for volunteer testers. The current
hole he sees involves debian, as there are lots of architectures
on which it can run. Jim/Keith will send a note to debian-devel
asking for more testers.

Kevin also updated the release status page as well as added a note
about tinderbox. Most of the test matrix table on the release
status page is now filled in, and people in Red Hat will be covering
many of the remaining platforms in the list. Kevin will soon
be sending out an e-mail to testers who have signed up asking
them to start building/testing and to update the web page.

Keith is fixing Composite, and it should be working in the next
day or so.

Tinderbox Status
----------------
Kevin added a link to the release status page to the tinderbox URL.
Some of the Tinderbox builds are still broken. Some of the
tinderbox machines died over the weekend.

Kevin also asked about expanding the features used by tinderbox.
One of the features noted was banzai, which will trackdown the
checkin that caused a particular build to break. Jim also noted
that we need to get the tests into a state where we can run them
much more frequently (once/day). Jim noted as well that it would
be nice if we could have web pages that contained test results
for the various runs, as well as other interesting information
about the test run (how much memory was consumed, etc.).

Kevin asked how we should prioritize these. Bonzai was identified
as the top priority.

Testing
-------
Kevin is going to put out a call to all of those who have
signed up for testing to ask them to start testing now, and
to update the release status page with their results. If you
have signed up for testing, please watch for that message soon.

Bugzilla
--------
People made progress on a number of the bugs over the weekend,
and Kevin focused primarily on the build problems during the weekend.
The only open question remaining on build-related defects involves
a problem in with XEVIE. Kevin asked Stuart to review the fix.
The fix makes sense to Stuart, but he has a question about whether
or not this should be in a separate library. This is a bigger issue
than what we can solve now, so Kevin will raise it on the
xorg at freedesktop.org list.

Kevin mentioned again that there are a number of defect reports
that are listed as blockers and have patches associated with them,
and he's going to start checking them in. Some shouldn't go in,
and Kevin will comment on those. The other, more harmless, bugs
will have their fixes checked in.

Jim noted that their is some chatter on IRC asking if recent
changes going into the DRI tree will be reflected in the xorg
tree. Kevin said that changes in the past ~two weeks have not
gone in. Jim asked for a bug to review the changes to see if any
should be put into the xorg tree. Kevin will e-mail dri-devel
to see if there are any changes that they would like to see
merged downstream to us.

Kevin - the number of bugs listed as blockers has grown. People
are reporting bugs, but few people are actually looking into
them. Kevin will look into as many as he can, but he would like
assistance. He'll put out a call to the mailing list tonight to
ask for help from others. He'll also start putting out a daily
e-mail containing the number of blocker bugs so that people
can track where we are.

Bug #255 from Mike Harris

Bug #303 and PPC64 support. Kevin asked if anyone had a machine
on which to test this.

Bug #306 - Egbert checked in the patch, and Jim will be writing
up documentation on it. Kevin is going to go ahead an close
this, since there is another bug already open on the documentation.

At this time, freedesktop.org went down for a reboot, so we
couldn't make any more progress on looking through the bugs.
