Fixed in CVS.
Please replace line 217 in the file with 
if (uuids.find(factory->get_uuid ()) == uuids.end ()) {

I installed gcc 3.2.3 in my gentoo box, but I still can compile it
successfully. So I have no idea what's the problem with your system...

Really hope this is the last issue preventing you from compiling skim.
