Glad to hear about the 1.0.0 news. But I am afraid that one-week
testing would be too short. I am building Debian packages and will
announce them when they are ready (likely tonight), but I don't know how
many users will follow my beta packages (they are not official). Maybe
other distributions are going to have better user coverage.
I have one more concern about gcc-3.4 compatibility. Will the
developing team see ``compilable by gcc-3.4'' a release requirement?
And has anybody tried gcc-3.4 on recent beta releases?
