Thank you for your kind replies.

Still scim-immodule doesn't work for me, but someone will hack
my packages. :-p

I sent a mail to mandrake-cooker-i18n.

Thank you for your great work!

Hi,

I made SCIM packages for Mandrake-Cooker.
You can get them at http://sourceforge.net/projects/mdk-ut/ .
Click "scim-mdk" and get all *i586.rpm.

$ su
# urpmi *.i586.rpm

# exit
$ gedit ~/.i18n
write them please:
---
LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8
LANGUAGE=en_US:en
LC_COLLATE=en_US
LC_TIME=en_US
LANG=en_US
LC_MESSAGES=en_US
scim -f x11 -c simple -ns socket -d &
XMODIFIERS=@xx=SCIM
---

Note: You need to set your locale to *.UTF8 .
If you have an old .scim directory in your home dir,
delete it please.

=>reboot your machine.

Login
$ gedit
Press "Ctrl+space" to start SCIM.

Click "Yawerty" icon and change it to "Smart PinYin".
http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley-Cupertino/5207/snapshot/scim-change-input-methods01.png

Type "nizao" (it means "Good Morning!").
You'll see "?早". Press "1" please.

If you want to change settings, click the icon
http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley-Cupertino/5207/snapshot/scim-change-settings01.png
then you'll see it:

Still my packages have some problems. They don't work on gtk_immodule.
But scim-xim works fine, so I present you my packages.

I don't know Chinese, but SCIM looks cool for me. :-)
