Yes, thank you, both issues are fixed in scim-qtimm HEAD.

The following small problem remains:

use 

QT_IM_MODULE=scim edittest

both on the remote and the local machine.

Type a little bit in both and switch the input an and  off a few times.

The scim-panel-gtk suddenly appears in the top-left corner of the screen
on both machines and not at it's regular position.
