[SCIM] Problems using scim with Emacs

I think I should use emacs-21.3.50-cvs version too
if I want to type Chinese in Emacs with scim.
But, sorry for my ignorance, I've never used such an Emacs version.
What's the difference with a 'normal' one?
Please, could you tell me how to download it
and the steps I should do to install it?
I have 'normal' emacs-21.3 on my PC now.
