[Shared-desktop-ontologies] Reading and writing .trig format ontologies for newbies?

Hi,

This is email #2 of a series of 2 emails. The first one, I mailed to the
old list by mistake. I hope I'm using the right list now!

While the trac at sourceforge at least tells you how the maintenance
process is supposed to work, this is of course out of date (as my first
email pointed out) because people are now supposed to use BFO not trac.

But at least that basic info is there.

What is completely missing from the trac is some answers to the following
questions:

1. What is a .trig file?

OK - I did manage to figure this one out myself, after some Googling.
I think. But it should still be documented on the wiki.

2. How to validate the .trig files?

3. How to configure git so that it validates the .trig files automatically?

4. How to read and understand the .trig files? (Please give examples!)

This should probably be coupled with some links to better understand the
design decisions and objectives behind the existing ontologies.

5. How to make changes to the .trig files? (overlaps with previous question)

6. How to commit changes to git and submit them to the master git repo on
freedesktop.org?

Can I have some answers to all of these questions, please?

Optional bonus question:

7. Are there any tools, or even just syntax highlighting modes, that can be used
on .trig files apart from those already mentioned in the answers to the above?

Regards,
