Package usbredir is installed on my system:

$ emerge -pv usbredir

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Total: 1 package (1 reinstall), Size of downloads: 0 kB

I tried with the remote-viewer command. The USB device selection menu is there,
but toggling my USB flash drive doesn't make Windows recognize it. Nothing
happens, again.
