If I understand correctly, what Zeeshan request is that input don't go to the
display, unless the grab has been explicitely taken. 

This would be unfriendly. We want the spice widget to be an input widget, when
it has the focus, it takes the input, like any input widget (text, terminal
etc), without extra initial key combination.

Now, if an app needs a keybinding to change the focus on a different widget, it
can do so itself. There is no need for a change of behaviour or extra API here.
