I don't share this experience. I wonder in which typing way you notice it. Usual typing isn't noticeable to me, however the delay for key repeat is increased a little bit, but this is not an annoyance. Beside, the repeat delay can be adjust in the guest.

However, I am open for discussion for default behaviour. We left that for later when we applied the series, iirc. Now is the time? Imho, it should be enabled by default in wan & lan, but disabled for localhost. Some experience with it should tell us what is best, that's why I wanted it enabled by default, so people can actually give feedback like you did.
