Well that's true. To be honest I implemented this way because I wanted it as a "spice feature" and didn't want to cause any inconsistency when using virt-viewer with gtk-vnc. But this feature is more about starting using "disable-inputs" property, and switching its value can be implemented in virt-viewer as well.
