Please, let's not try to fit something that is not in our radar. We can easily add flags or new messages. But, I'd be reluctant to merge both gl surface sharing and shm sharing in the same message. I'd rather reuse the existing 2d surfaces. Can we just focus on the (~1y wip) GL case for now?
