I tested it in Xfce and KDE. I think there wasn't org.gnome.SessionManager (I cannot find it using d-feet).
g_dbus_proxy_new_for_bus_sync does not check the existence of D-Bus name - maybe we should check it.

I will send another version which will not trigger the warning on each focus in / out.
