Great that the patch helped you.

Now that I understand why we have the 100 ms delay as default, I agree
with Marc-Andre that currently we don't want to add an option to tweak
it yet.

(I don't consider environment variable as option but a hack for testing)

Maybe in the future with more use cases like gaming, we might need to
improve this.
