Now that I see these defines are in the .c file, I think they were meant
to be temporary, and g_object_ref/unref should be used directly in this
file now.

After the work which was done recently on QXLInstance/QXLState (with
QXLInstance being used in the interface exposed in the .h, and QXLState
being the QXLInstance private data), I think we are here in a similar
situation:
