More information is needed for us to try and help.

Can you share your qemu-kvm command line or libvirt XML of the VM?
What version of spice-server is running on the host, and
what version of remote-viewer on the client ?
What is the guest OS ?

(Hopefully an answer to the first question will solve the riddle)
