Regarding the amount of changes this means, and potential extra-rebasing
work, one possible way of integrating these changes would be to only
switch to glib a function or a file that is being touched by other
patches.
(and apart from these concerns related to rebasing, I'm all for killing
all the spice_* wrappers which have glib equivalent).
