I'm replying with mail because i don't have my bugzilla password at hand :)

You should patch the code then from swfdec/ 'make && sudo make
install', close firefox,
wait a few seconds, start firefox again. You don't need to recompile
swfdec-mozilla.

And if this patch does not fix the issue for you that's strange
because i've tried this myself
with both 0.8.2 and git.
