          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 64737
          Assignee: systemd-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: systemctl outputs ANSI escape sequences that may be
                    unsupported by the PAGER
        QA Contact: systemd-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: All
          Reporter: net147 at gmail.com
          Hardware: Other
            Status: NEW
           Version: unspecified
         Component: general
           Product: systemd

systemctl can't always assume the PAGER supports handling and passthrough of
ANSI escape sequences (e.g. for color and bold). For example, busybox less
treats ESC as an unprintable character and escapes it.
