Also with kernel 3.14.2-1-ARCH after increasing the brightness once logged in
to KDE so that I can work the brightness parameters are:

# ls -1 /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/*brightness | xargs -I % sh -c
"echo % ; cat %"
/sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/actual_brightness
3793125
/sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness
14875
/sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/max_brightness
3793125
