What is "does not work for me" supposed to mean? What precisely doesn't work?
What precisely do you expect it to do that it doesn't do? What precisely does
it do that you don't expect?

Note that "daemon-reload" among other things invokes the generators. Hence, if
you invoke them directly you do less than the "daemon-reload" does...
