Bug ID: 87953
Summary: "systemd-tmpfiles --create" fails with
"chmod(/var/run/samba) failed: No such file or
directory" after d7b8eec7
Product: systemd
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: general
Assignee: systemd-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: mail at eliasprobst.eu
QA Contact: systemd-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Since d7b8eec7
(http://cgit.freedesktop.org/systemd/systemd/commit/?id=d7b8eec7)
'systemd-tmpfiles --create' fails for two tmpfiles items here simply returning:
chmod(/var/run/samba) failed: No such file or directory
This happens for the following ones:
D /var/run/samba 0755 root root
D /var/run/openvpn 0710 root openvpn -
Running Kernel 3.18.1 and a non-SELinux system.
Besides that, 'systemd-tmpfiles --create' always returns 0, even when there
were failures. I'll file a separate bug for this.
