I have the same error when building systemd-v220 with dpkg-buildpackage, using
the branch
http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-systemd/systemd.git/log/?h=experimental-220

I suspect it is one of the Debian patches as well. Did you figure out which one
is causing this?
