Wouldn't it be nicer to have ConditionSecurity=SELinux, like we have
ConditionVirtualization=kvm? You never know what people invent next
year. :)

Nothing specific about your patch, I know that's the status quo, but I
guess we need some better place for such files as /, as we are aiming
for a read-only root, or want to support setups like Android, where /
is on tmpfs.
