I'm not too opposed, but maybe we should consider matching the feature
set of an established standard like iCal repeating events?

It'd be kind of neat to get an CalDAV/iCal export or feed of scheduled
events, anyway. Using a matching repeating event feature set ensures
we'd be able to represent the schedule in that standard format.
