Nope not tried it, I assumed since it had TYPE=Infiniband in the ifcfg 
file for it that it required an entry in netdev_kind_table
( NETDEV_KIND_INFINIBAND]= infiniband ) went looking did not see it then 
simply asked.

If it's not required and just works today problem solved.
