Does not mention tun and tap as netdev kinds:
'The netdev kind. Currently, "bridge", "bond", "vlan", "macvlan", "vxlan", 
"ipip", "gre", "sit", "vti", "veth", and "dummy" are supported. This option is 
compulsory.'
