This information looks like local state, i.e. can't be part of
/usr/lib/os-release.

So, will this create a copy of /usr/lib/os-release at /etc/os-release
if this additional information is added?

If so, what happens if the os itself is upgraded and
/usr/lib/os-release get's an update?
