Hello.
Based on a previous email that i sent to this list i wrote a python app
that notifies the user on the desktop about systemd logins, failed
systemd services, the status of some user defined services and also
monitors systemd files in /usr/lib/systemd and /etc/systemd/ directories
for modify, write events. I used well known python libs, all are
mentioned in the README file on the github page.
If someone could evaluate the code and if you think its of any benefit
for fedora i could make an rpm. There are actually two versions of the
program a minimal one in master branch and the full one on experimental
branch.
Note the app is temporary named systemd-notify.py, i will change the
name to systemd-desktop-notifications as to not to be confused with the
systemd-notify binary.
The link is on https://github.com/gkarakou/systemd-notify.py and the
instructions to install are on the README.md.
