Might I ask what the project is specifically? It sounds interesting, but
would be good to have knowledge of, so that the person who draws the
icons has a better idea of how they're being used, and can make the best
icons possible.

Is there any particular reason why they must be 20x20? It's an odd size
(not a multiple of 8), and hard to fit much detail into.
