Hi,

I had an idea for a slightly different visual metaphor for audio volume.

I think more people would recognize a speaker in a box, rather than an 
individual speaker driver. Also, the triangle is used as a volume icon 
other electronic equipment (TVs, Portable CD players, remote controls 
etc)  so it should be recognizable to many people (usually it is 
horizontal, however).

The triangle also gives the possibility of many volume levels, not just 
low, mid, and high.

The individual speaker (not in a box) is well established, so it may not 
be worth changing it.

Just some ideas, take it or leave it.
