Hi Andreas,
maybe we should rethink the current practice of only committing icons
that are done in all the necessary sizes. It's quite an ideal task for
new contributors to figure out the pixel grid and fix up the tiny sizes.
I think we should just put a FIXME file listing all the missing sizes
and be loud about it here and gnome-themes from time to time. 

For me personally, things have changed dramatically in terms of free
time. Having these 30 second 'take aways' make it easy for people to
contribute without really requiring any much overhead for us. 

The different sizes aren't such an enormous task as it used to with a
bitmap workflow. I think the practice is actually slowing us down now.
