[Tango-artists] Art Libre Set license?

Hi!

FontForge is gearing up for a new release, and I'm hoping Tango icons
may be included as default.

I hope the Art Libre Set icons could be useful for this, but there is
concern in the FontForge list about their GPL status.

I see that the Art Libre Set wiki page hasn't been updated in a few years:

So, I thought I'd ask on this list about the possibility of making the
Art Libre Set match the regular Tango base set Public Domain license?
