Any future chatroom API should also address the requirements of Skype
chatrooms, which have a globally unique identifier, and persist for as long as
they have members, but do not have any *human-readable* identifier.

The only way to join a Skype chatroom is to be invited by a member of it, so
the identifier doesn't need to be a requestable property.

http://git.collabora.co.uk/?p=rtcom-telepathy-glib.git;a=blob;f=rtcom-telepathy-glib/Channel_Interface_Persistent.xml
is the solution used in Maemo 5.

The functionality of
http://git.collabora.co.uk/?p=rtcom-telepathy-glib.git;a=blob;f=rtcom-telepathy-glib/Channel_Interface_Skype_GroupChat.xml
should also be considered.
