There are many good arguments as to why otr support should be high priority in
this thread, and others, and to as to why many people consider leaving out
otr-support a very bad idea. We
Google: telepathy otr and you'll see a lot of them.

My view: Should be a default out-of-the-box, as it works with all protocols.
Almost everyone in my contactlist uses otr now-a-days, and no, they are not all
"nerds". We use otr at work too.
