Danielle can you rebase the branch to the current master's HEAD, please?

I see that there are still some references to log-store-counter, which are
quite out of date.

Also several changes have been merged since then, and it might need some manual
work when rebasing.

If you don't have time to do it, I might do it next week, just drop me a line.
