The stream tubes tests use GSocketClient. GSocketClient internally grabs a
proxy resolver. I have glib-networking installed, and it gets picked up by the
test suite.

This isn't ideal: it means the tests may hit the network.

It doesn't seem to be very easy to force GLib not to pick up an extension
point. I fear we may have to use a dummy resolver.
