There are at least 2 issues preventing Gabble to interop with Oracle's Jabber
Server.

A) Their SSL/TLS implementation is on crack as explained on
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=654011#c9
This can we be work arounded using env variable but it may be best to expose a
connection param instead.

B) Once connected Gabble isn't happy and close the stream see
