We had some ideas for this at the Telepathy KDE sprint 6 months ago. I don't
remember much of them. The basic idea however would be that you wouldn't have
to worry about this ClientRegistrar AbstractClientHandler requestsSatisfied
nonsense, a bit like what bug #28753 aims at for Text Observers.

A good starting point would be looking at existing StreamTube Handlers, e.g.
https://projects.kde.org/projects/playground/network/telepathy/kwhiteboard/repository/revisions/master/entry/src/TubesManager.cpp
and trying to abstract that into something sensible.
