the failed to create context thing is  gupnp warning, it shouldn't matter. That
said, the ICE stuff seems to never connect...
Can you run this in a shell before doing the call and attach the log:

NICE_DEBUG=all /usr/bin/empathy-av >nice-log.txt  2>&1
