          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 56429
          Assignee: telepathy-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: telepathy-salut uses more memory with each file
                    transfer
        QA Contact: telepathy-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux (All)
          Reporter: lukas.schneiderbauer at gmail.com
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
            Status: NEW
           Version: 0.8
         Component: salut
           Product: Telepathy

When transfering files with kde-telepathy and link-local accounts the
telepathy-salut process uses more and more ram with every initiated file
transfer on the sender side.

First the memory should at least be freed after the file transfer has finished.
Second the file to be transfered shouldn't be copied into ram as a whole. Big
files like movies cannot be transfered since they fill up your whole ram.

There is a similar bug filed at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/telepathy-salut/+bug/574553 (though a
little old)
