Using the "stream-tubes" example in telepathy-qt, there seems to be a problem
with repeatedly opening a stream tube with the same target contact. The first
time a stream tube connection is established, all works fine; but if you close
the example application and launch it again, establishing a stream tube does
not work properly. The connection is being established, but any data sent will
not arrive at the other end.

With other (custom) applications, I have encountered similar problems.

Any help on debugging this problem would be very much appreciated.
