fmuellner would like Polari to be the Handler for:

* named chatrooms on IRC and XMPP

* private messages from IRC contacts

* private messages mediated via XMPP chatrooms
  (e.g. a 1-1 channel with telepathy at chatrooms.example.com/smcv)

but not:

* 1-1 messages in general

* truly nameless ad-hoc chatrooms on e.g. MSNP

* ad-hoc chatrooms with no *human-readable* name on XMPP (via XEP-0045
§10.1.4),
  Skype, Google Talk

This is not currently possible. We should make it possible.
