"boolean…" ("boolean..." but with U+2026 HORIZONTAL ELLIPSIS instead) is
correct UTF-8 in the git commit, but Splinter thinks patches are Latin-1, so
you get mojibake.

Or if that's not what you meant, please say what my typo was - I can't see one
