Reviewing the extra 2 commits in gdbus2 branch:

 -"name owner watching: more debug, and use a free-function to free watches": I
don't understand how that can fix a bug. For me the only explanation would be
that MC calls that from different threads. Or am I missing something?

But I like it anyway. You can just simplify dispose a lot, it's just a
g_clear_pointer(&self->priv->name_owner_watches, g_hash_table_unref); now.
