Right. So channel handlers/filters need to be added to the TODO.

I see your point. In this case it's probably sensible not to allow accounts to
be used when they don't have an associated protocol. I'm not sure how Decibel
makes a link between protocol/connection manager and the account objects.

The problem is that if you have two connection managers, one of which is
vastly superior to the other for a particular protocol, you could have a
situation where MC always takes the wrong CM. This is quite easily possible,
say, with connection managers that can handle more than one protocol.
