Much of libtelepathy is auto-generated at build time from D-Bus
"introspection" XML in the spec/ directory. For instance,
tp_connmgr_request_connection() is a thin auto-generated wrapper around a
synchronous call to
org.freedesktop.Telepathy.ConnectionManager.RequestConnection.

Eventually, telepathy-glib will take over the functionality of
libtelepathy, including improvements to the auto-generation, but we're not
there yet.
